The First Steps
Hello or as the Czechs like to say to friends, "Ahoj." Welcome to my first blog entry. I am looking for ways to communicate and share about a journey God started in my life several years ago. I am so thankful that God brings so many interesting and diverse people in my life. I can glance back to Oct of 1999 and see the first set of seeds God planted in my life that began what I like to refer to as the start of my Czech Journey. I will be sharing aspects so far of the journey and what I am learning as I travel the path God has chosen for me. This journey constantly pulls me out of my comfort zone and is not for wimps. Sometimes making the right choice for oneself, is not always easy even if you know in your heart of hearts it is the right one.
I hope this blog will encourage people to step out in faith in whatever ways God maybe calling them. For me the steps have been challenging but yet rewarding. One of my favorite themes that has truly surfaced over and over is "hurry up and wait!" I'll expand more on that in my next entry. One aspect of the Czech language that I am learning to enjoy is the short cuts of one word having opposite meanings. I started by sharing Ahoj as a welcome phrase. Well, can you guess what word is also used as an informal good bye to friends--you guessed right. Take care for now & not to confuse but "Ahoj."
