A Czech Journey

Christmas Day 2010

I'm spending time relaxing and reflecting on the God I serve. So thankful to have had a wonderful Czech Christmas yesterday. In the morning I went with Czech friends for a nice walk in the forest. We saw groups of people out walking enjoying each other and nature. Then later in the afternoon I made my way to my friends' Bohumila and Mirek's home. Their two small boys (Tony & Jardy) were excited about Christmas while their baby sister was sleeping because she was fighting a cold. There is nothing like being with little ones during Christmastime. I had a wonderful time. We had soup, fried carp with potato salad and lots of sweets. We all opened gifts and the boys liked several of their gifts and even the big jar of jelly bellies I brought them from Tampa.

The rest of today I will be calling family and friends in the US wishing them a very Merry Christmas! Hope you all are enjoying your day. One of my favorite scriptures to ponder on Christmas Day is... Isaiah 9:6 "For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders, He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."
Thank you Lord for coming and fulfilling all of the scripture. May we never forget that you go before us to help us.
Until next time take care.
Many Blessings,
Colleen
