So this is what I'll be doing...
Hi Everyone,
I was recently thinking about my relationships in the Czech Republic. Several people have asked, "Colleen, what actually will you be doing in the Czech Republic?"
I will be sharing the love of God with a people group where 6 out of 10 people don't believe in the existence of God. How actually will I do that? By continuing to build upon the relationships God has already given me and by meeting an important need Czech people have which is learning & conversing in English. It helps Czechs a great deal to learn from a native speaker. My mother tongue happens to be the universe language in which many Czechs need to learn and to converse in fluently. English helps Czech travel throughout the world and it helps them acquire better paying jobs.
I have been developing relationships with Czechs for over 11 years. The Brno Fellowship Church is one of 13 evangelical churches located in the city of Brno which has a population of over 400,000. There is a great need for churches to be planted to minister in the Brno neighborhoods and beyond. In order to do that Czech people need to hear the gospel and make a decision for Christ. I help lead people to make that decision for Christ by first sharing my love for them and their country. God has used me and others over the years to plant many seeds. I need to return as soon as possible so I can continue to cultivate the seeds that have been planted.
The heart of the issue for me...
The 6 out of 10 Czechs claiming to be atheists translates out to 6 million people and they all live in a nation that is the size of the state of South Carolina! When I know that I know there is a God--I can't sit back and do nothing. I am called of God to go and make disciples. Matthew 28:18-20
Help the gospel reach a nation in need of a Savior!
Blessings,
Colleen
